01 / One collection, several tools

Find your media.
Understand its files.

The catalogue, music tools and video tools come together in one workspace. Online services remain optional.

01

A view of your library

Add a local or network folder, then search and filter titles, paths and tags. Inspect tracks and export the catalogue as CSV or selections as M3U playlists.

02

Music, with beets

Read tags, search by artist or album and prepare a filing plan. The music workshop also offers artwork, ReplayGain, conversion and smart playlists, depending on configured tools.

03

Duplicates to examine

Distinguish byte-identical files verified with SHA-256 from acoustic similarities or versions that need listening. Selection and quarantine are explicit.

04

A video workshop

Inspect codecs, languages, subtitles and chapters. Prepare movie renaming or a new MKV with a language correction and an added audio track, without re-encoding video in this workflow.

05

Prepared YouTube imports

Preview sources, choose audio or video and set the destination. Per-source schedules, history and identifier archives help track new imports.

06

A history of your changes

Moves go through a plan and a journal. Tag corrections and remuxes create copies. Restoration refuses to overwrite collisions or changed files.

02 / Before changing anything

Inspect. Prepare.
Then apply.

01

Catalogue

Add a folder and read the available information.

02

Examine

Filter, compare versions and review suggestions.

03

Prepare

Review the plan, destinations and proposed changes.

04

Apply

Follow the operation and keep its recovery history.

03 / Your library, your setup

Local first.
Your server, if you choose.

Média Atelier works with files accessible in Windows. Plex is optional: configure its connection to list libraries and request a scan. The workshop also supports scan requests to Emby, Jellyfin and Kodi.

These are refresh requests, not a new streaming server. Your server must already exist and see the files. External changes require a new catalogue scan.

  • Local folders or already-accessible shares
  • Catalogue and settings on your PC
  • Connections configured by the user

A few things to know

Can I download Média Atelier here?

This page presents the project and the features in its current sources. No purchase or public Windows package is offered here. Email me to ask about discovery options and availability.

Is Plex required?

No. The application can organize a local library or a network share accessible from Windows. Plex and other servers remain optional integrations.

Are originals changed automatically?

Tags and remuxes are prepared in new copies. Moving files requires a preview and explicit application. Restoration depends on the files’ state: collisions or external modifications must not be overwritten.

Which tools do I need?

Multimedia inspection and processing use tools including FFmpeg and FFprobe. Some YouTube workflows may need Node.js. External tools and service access require configuration; a basic catalogue does not enable every feature.

Does it also rip discs?

No. DVD and Blu-ray ripping belongs to Digidisc, presented separately. Média Atelier focuses on files in your library and authorized imports.

Are online lookups and imports guaranteed?

No. MusicBrainz and other providers may return no result. Connectors depend on services, content rights and configured access. Acoustic matches, BPM and key estimates remain aids to verify.

Context that stays with it.
